Maria Paula Aguilar

1940 ~ 2021 Paula Aguilar, 81, was born on January 15, 1940 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 12, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  Paula enjoyed learning; she was constantly taking on new interests from pottery to bowling and even sales. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with her friends. She showed her love by making you your favorite meal if she knew you were coming to visit. Most of all she adored her grandchildren.  Throughout her life, she gained many compadres and comadres, and all her neighbors loved her. Paula was a kind, generous, and a loving soul.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel & Hilaria Salinas.  Paula leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 58 years of marriage, Jesus Vilano Aguilar; their children, Leticia Aguilar-Cruz & husband Patrick Cruz, Dr. Jesus J. Aguilar MD & wife Marcella, Ana Aguilar Flores, and Roxane Aguilar; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Cruz, Patrick Joseph "PJ" Cruz, Daniella Martinez Howard, and Alejandro Martinez and her grandson in law David Howard, her siblings, Humberto Salinas, Alfonso Salinas, Guadalupe Nava, Antonia Perales, Julian Salinas, and Herminia Herrera; she also leaves behind many other relatives and numerous friends. Jesus and Paula were very active in their church community at St. Christopher Catholic Church and served in many ministries.  Paula will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.
