Maria Dolores Canales

Maria Dolores Canales, 72, was born on June 20, 1944 in Victoria, Texas to Alfonso Uresti & Susanna Ortiz and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her loving family on May 8, 2017 in Houston, Texas . Maria leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Thomas Canales & wife Diana and Victor Canales, Jr. & wife Margaret; her daughters, Tina Canales & husband Tony and Denise Gongora & husband Alfred; her brothers, Alfonso Uresti, Jr. and Rodolfo Uresti; her sisters, Linda Shell, Diana Cano, Anita Alegria, Theresa Ortiz and Virginia Sanchez; her 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Maria will be dearly missed by all of those who shared her in life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (7250 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011). Rite of Committal will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.
