Loving wife, mother and sister Maria de Jesus Diaz-Gonzalez of Houston, TX passed away at her home on April 23, 2024, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso Diaz and Enriqueta Chavez, her sister Esmeralda and brother Enrique Diaz.  She leaves behind her husband Guadalupe Gonzalez Ponce, daughter Monica Zapata and grandson Antonio Escalona. She is also survived by brothers Jose and Alfonso Diaz, sisters Rosantina Casso and Irma Diaz-Gonzalez as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of good friends. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Compean’s Funeral Home Saturday, May 4^th, 2024, from 3-6pm
