Maria M. Infante
November 14, 1939 ~ December 16, 2021
Maria Monserrat Infante was born to Simon Fuentes and Urbana Cabrera on November 14, 1939 in Rancho de la Tinaja, San Carlos, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
At the age of 14 years old, Maria’s brothers traveled to the United States to work, and they brought her along as their cook. That was where she met Pedro S. Infante, who would later become her husband. On July 12, 1954, she married the love of her life, and together they had
11 children and adopted a niece and nephew.
On December 29, 1974, Maria gave her life to the Lord and was baptized by Rev. Jose Peña at the Apostolic Church of San Benito, Texas. Maria was a very generous and loving woman of God. She hosted many nephews, nieces, and friends, and was a stranger to no one. She loved
cooking for her family and for anyone and everyone who dropped by. To her, one more mouth to feed was never a problem. She made the best tamales and loved making them. After retiring as a custodian for the Pasadena I.S.D., Maria spent her days watching and loving
on her grandchildren and spending quality time with them. She was known to them as “Memo.” She was so very proud of every single one of them.
Maria also dedicated her life to her church and she loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart. She was a faithful member of Divine Restoration Apostolic Church for the past 25 years and attended through August of this year, when her health no longer allowed her to attend in
person.
Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pedro S. Infante, her siblings Guadalupe Fuentes, Octavio Fuentes, Angelina de la Fuente Fuentes, Teresa Mata Fuentes, Javier Fuentes, Daniel Fuentes, Simon Fuentes, and her first grandchild, Josue Infante.
She is survived by her sister, Raquel Vasquez; her children Jose Luis Infante and wife Olivia, Teresa Infante, Irma M. del Campo, Alicia Aguillon, Sylvia Esquivel and husband Celestino, Pedro Infante, Jr. and wife Lucy, Maria E. Arredondo and husband Reynaldo, Carolina Sauceda and husband Isaac, Idalia Resendez and husband Otoniel, Elizabeth Torres and husband Pablo, and Daniel Infante, Alma Rivera and husband Jesus, Rolando Fuentes and wife Frances; 28 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.
