Maria Elena Watson was born on September 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas to her parents, Jose Rangel Morales & Agustina Lujan. Maria was called to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2017 in Houston, Texas while being surrounded by her loving family. Maria is survived by her son, Andrew Salazar, Jr. & wife Vanessa Martinez Salazar; her daughter, Tina Marie Salazar Rodriguez & husband Andres Rodriguez; her brothers, Daniel Morales & Jesse Morales; her sisters, Josephine Flores, Rosa Partida, Margaret Aguilar, & Janie Palacios; her grandchildren, Nicolette M. Guajardo Rodriguez, Anjelica M. Guajardo, Jacob Salazar, Jasmine Salazar, & Bella B. Salazar; and her great grandchildren, Christian Rivera, Ariana Rivera, Jacob Michael Salazar, Jr., and Adelina Marie Salazar. Maria will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003).Rite of Committal will follow in Houston National Cemetery.
