Mario Hinojosa

1943 - 2018

Mario Hinojosa, 74, was born on August 14, 1943 in CD. Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2018 in Houston, Texas.  Mario was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.  Mario enjoyed being outdoors fishing and spending time at the Rancho "Los Martinez".  He would make sure to read the newspaper everyday and always reading it in his truck, to read it all the way through.  But his family was the most important thing to him.  He enjoyed spending any time he could with his family.  Mario will be dearly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with him.  Mario is preceded in death by his parents, Severiano and Alberta Hinojosa: his brothers, Justo Hinojosa and Heron Hinojosa; and his sisters, Juanita Saenz and Thomasa Garza.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Blanca Hinojosa; his sons, Jose Severiano Hinojosa & wife Araceli and Oscar Mario Hinojosa & wife Laura; his brothers, Jose Angel Hinojosa and Efrain Hinojosa; his sisters, Maruca Moreno, Noelia Garcia, and Balbina Garcia; his grandchildren, Oscar Hinojosa, Jr. & wife Lucero, Joshua Hinojosa, Sebastian Hinojosa, Anthony Hinojosa, Julian Hinojosa, Samy Hinojosa, and Samantha Hinojosa; and his great grandchild, Isabella Julissa Hinojosa.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at the Compean Funeral Family Chapel.  A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Interment will follow.
