Mario Rubio Ponce, 80, was born on January 19, 1940 in Hidalgo, Mexico and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2020 at his residence in Houston, Texas.  Mario was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was preceded in death by his father, Pompello Rubio; his mother, Gregoria Ponce; his son, Aurelio Rubio; his daughter in law, Angela Rubio; also by his grandson, Angel David Rubio.  Mario leaves behind to cherish and treasure his memories, his loving wife of 54 years of marriage, Graciela Rubio; his sons, Miguel Rubio, Pompello Rubio & wife Nilda, and Mario Rubio, Jr.; his daughters, Alejandra Parra & husband Rudy and Rocio Rubio; his grandchildren, Brandon Miranda, Marissa Miranda, Ashley Rubio, Nicholas Rubio, Illiana Rubio, Ilyza Rubio, Benny Rubio, Isabella Parra, Emily Uscanga, Gracie Rubio, and Karlyne Rubio; his sisters, Cupertina Rubio and Cristina Rubio; he also leaves behind many other relatives and numerous friends.  Mario will be greatly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with him.
