Mary S. Mata, 84, was born on August 4, 1936 in Egypt, Texas and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2021 at her residence in Houston, Texas while surrounded by her loving family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Jesusa Solis; by her son, Patrick Mata; her sons in law, Paul Anthony Gonzales and Ovidio U. Cardenas;  by her siblings, Janie Sanchez, Amelia Ulloa, Lupe Solis, Robert Solis, Emma Rios, and Nicolas Solis.  She leaves behind to cherish and treasure her memories her loving husband of 66 years of marriage, Albert C. Mata; her children, Albert Mata, Jr., Priscilla Salazar & husband Marco, and Donna Gonzales; her grandchildren, Mark Mata, Tiffany Cortinas & husband Mark Ayala, Stephen Cardenas, Marcus Salazar & wife Demi, and Anthony Mata; her great grandchildren, Bella Salazar, Dahlia Ayala, Elijah Salazar, Diego Ayala, and Dimitri Ayala; her brothers, Jesse Soliz and Raul Solis; her sister, Luisa Rios; she also leaves behind many other relatives and  host of friends.  Mary will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories and were touched by her beautiful soul.
