Melissa Montanez

Melissa Montanez, 19, was born on January 13, 1997 in Houston, Texas and was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. She was a loving daughter, sister, and granddaughter. She was outgoing, enjoyed cooking, and pursued her goals on becoming a chef. Melissa graduated from Sharpstown International High School in 2015 and attended the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Whales University in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her parents, Jose Miguel Montanez and Maria Jasso de Montanez; her brother, Michael Paul Montanez; her sisters, Emily Montanez and Amy Montanez; her paternal grandmother, Maria P. Cervantes; her maternal grandmother, Margarita Jasso; and a host of family and friends. Melissa will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm with a Mass to be celebrated at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Cremation will takes place at a later dated.
