Michael Patrick Colunga, 70, was born on February 28, 1948 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2019 in Houston, Texas.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.  Mike was an animal lover and animals loved him in return.  Michel leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Tracy Colunga; his grandson, Michael P. Clunga, III; his daughter in law, Veronica Colunga; his siblings, Joseph R. colunga & wife Mary Ann, Dolores Stawitz & husband Fred, Margaret Colunga, Theresa Tarnowski & husband Thad, Henry Colunga Jr & wife Esmeralda, Patricia Bean & husband Ricky, Juanita Sergent & husband Keith, and Carmen Garcia; his aunts, Adriana Colunga and Abelia Colunga; his nieces and nephews, Joseph B. Colunga, Alan Colunga, Michael Mortman, Joseph Mortman, Jane Elizabeth Colunga, Tiffany Tarnowski, Thomas Colunga, James Colunga, Colby Bean, Nicole Sergent, Mary Morin, and John Meador;  his great nieces and great nephews, John Colunga, Tim, Tarnowski, Elizabeth Ennix, Mikela Meador, T. J. Meador, Elyssa Perez, Karim Perez, Jose Colunga, Alejandro Colunga, Xavier Counga, Catalina Colunga, Aaliyah Colunga, James Colunga Jr, Anabel Aleman, Alazy Aleman, Avery Mortman, Savannah Mortman, Lydia Mortman, Ashley Watson, John Meador II, Alexander Rangel, Savannah Rangel; numerous cousins from the Colunga, Castillo, and Hernandez Families; he also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.  Mike will be dearly missed by all those who were touched by his love and shared wonderful memories with him.

Funeral Mass:  Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Time:  11:00am

Location:  Resurrection Catholic Church (915 Zoe St., Houston, TX 77020)

Interment will follow in  Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038) with Full Military Honors.
