Mirtha J. Guzman

Mirtha J. Guzman, 67, was born on December 7, 1949 in Los Angeles, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Eliseo Canales & Aurora Garcia and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 11, 2017 in Houston, Texas while surrounded by her loving family. Mirtha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 47 years of marriage, Jose Angel Guzman; her sons, Jose Angel Guzman, Jr. & wife Veronica, Luis Alberto Guzman & wife Claudia, Erick Guzman & wife Gloria, Ed Guzman, and Danny Guzman; her brothers, Juan Canales and Javier Canales; her sisters, Lupita Barrera Canales, Diana Canales, and Thelma Canales; her grandchildren, Jose Angel Guzman, III, Jose Arturo Guzman, Jose Armando Guzman, Janissa Arlette Guzman, Luis Alberto Guzman, Jr., Alexia Erica Guzman, Eric Guzman, Jr., Carlos Guzman, and Yamillete Guzman; also many other relatives and friends. Mirtha will be dearly missed by all those who shared with her in life.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (7250 Harrisburg Blvd., Houston, TX 77012). Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
