Mr. Nick Villarreal

d. June 26, 2014

Mr. Nick Villarreal of Goliad, Texas was born on October 23, 1923 to Gerardo Villarreal and Aradelia Salenas. He passed away peacefully the evening of June 22, 2014 at the age of 90. Mr. Nick was such a hard worker, always making sure that his family was taken care of, often forgetting about himself. He loved to dance to his favorite Tejano hits and enjoyed his trips to Coushatta with the seniors, so much he would forget to come back! Mr. Nick liked shooting pool and playing short deck poker games with his friends and family. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who will never be forgotten, but we know he is now reunited with his loving wife Emilia.

He leaves behind to cherish his everlasting memories to his sons, Harry Villarreal and Rick Villarreal and wife Nancy; daughters, Gloria Ramos and husband John and Beverly Villarreal; brothers, Tino Villarreal and Felipe Villarreal; sister, Enriqueta along with 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours for Mr. Nick Villarreal will begin at 3pm until 9pm with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 7pm on Friday, June 27, 2014 in the Compean Main Chapel. Funeral Services officiated by Deacon Robert Stevens are scheduled to begin at 11am on Saturday, June 28, 2014 in the Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

God Looked Down

God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest, God’s garden must be beautiful. He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering; He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered, “Peace be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
