She is preceded in death by her loving parents and step-father , Santiago Ramirez. Also, by her first husband Israel Mendoza and her siblings: Aniseto Ruiz (Maria), Frank Ruiz (Janie), Tommy Ramirez, and Isabel Villarreal (Maximino Jr.). She is survived by her sister Margarita Flores (Martin), husband of 43 years of marriage, Jose Reyes, her children Juan Mendoza (Irasema), Cynthia Mendoza, Vickie Mendoza, Juan Reyes (Melissa), Eric Reyes, and Ruben Reyes (Roxanne), many grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

After twenty years of service she retired from General Telephone and Electric Company. She was a proud and doting grandmother who take an active role in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her "novelas", finding a great bargain, and loved to spend time in the kitchen. She had a generous spirit and always had a spot for everyone at her table.
