Oscar Antonio Morales, Jr.

Our beloved Oscar "Tony" Antonio Morales, Jr., age 40, was born on October 5, 1984, in Denver Harbor, Houston, Texas, and entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2024, in Houston, Texas. 

He was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle, and grandson. Oscar is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Concepcion Flores Cruz; his paternal grandmother, Ester Escamilla; and his brother, Richard A. Solis. 

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Sandra Cruz Morales; dad, Louis Perez; father, Oscar Morales Sr.; his cherished sons, Oscar Dawson Morales and Jason Angelo Morales; his maternal grandfather, Antonio Herrera Cruz; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Morales; his sisters, Laura Oliva Plata, Maria Ester Velasco, and Nancy Lee Brizuela; his brother, Louis Flores Perez; his brothers in law, Ricardo Plata Jr., and Jose Velasco. Tony also leaves behind his beloved nieces nephews whom he loved so much. 

Growing up, Tony loved to draw and tag. He was great with his hands, fixing everything and anything, bringing the broken back to life. Tony was a teller of tall tales. You would ask Tony what happened, and he would entertain you with the wildest story that was filled with plenty of laughs. Tony loved more than anything to help people and make them laugh. He found happiness in others’ smiles and laughter.

Tony proudly called the 6900 block of Texarkana home for 40 years. And because the stars were always in Tony’s favor, he will call 6900 Lawndale his resting place.

To know Tony was to love Tony. Always remember he loved y’all STRAIGHT UP.
