Petra Silva 1938 ~ 2016

Petra Silva, 78, was born on January 4, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas to Tirso Vidal and Juanita Dominguez and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Petra was preceded in death by her husband; Ernesto Silva. She is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Raul Silva & wife Diana, Robert Silva & wife Judy, George Silva & wife Cindy, Joe Silva & wife Maria, Hector Silva & wife Tina, and Ernesto Silva; her daughters, Oralia Cavazos & husband Bruno, Martha Rodriguez and husband Javier, Isabel Silva, and Norma Juarez; her sister, Minerva Rodriguez; as well as her 34 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren. Petra will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm and on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11am at St. Pius V Catholic Church (824 Main St. Pasadena, TX 77506). Rite of Committal will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
