While being raised in South Houston, Texas, Priscilla effortlessly excelled in school, and was at the top of her class, graduating with honors in 1982. She loved being active – she was an avid runner and was the perfect embodiment of strength and determination. She was awarded an academic scholarship to the University of Houston, and while attending, dedicated her time to her involvement in several clubs, including the National Honors Society and the Hispanic Business Student Association. During this time, she met Genaro Carrillo Jr. They wed in 1988, and from that point forward, she dedicated her life to nurturing and raising her children, while teaching them the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Priscilla’s children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was the happiest when she was with them, and she carried that joy with her wherever she went. She was always smiling and brightened the lives of those around her with her laughter. She exemplified the compassion of Christ perfectly, giving selflessly and without complaints. She worked tirelessly to make sure that everyone else’s needs were met before her own. Priscilla was truly a blessing to us all.
Priscilla Ann Davila is survived by her children, Genaro Carrillo III, Miranda Carrillo, Abraham Carrillo, and Jessica Carrillo; her grandchildren, Genaro Carrillo IV and Patrick Savedra; her mother and father, Felipe Martinez Davila and Magdalena Maria Davila; her siblings, Felipe Davila Jr., Edward Davila, Elaine Guevara, Rachel Davila, Jessica Davila Ramirez, and Jacob Davila, and her beloved dog, Roscoe.
