Ramona Corona Saenz 1931 - 2016

Ramona Corona Saenz, 84, returned to her heavenly home on January 31, 2016. She passed peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her las days and ultimatley gave her peace. Ramona was born to the late Elvia and Guillermo Corona in Crockett, Texas on August 23, 1931, where her parents worked as migrant workers. Ramona was blessed with a beautiful and loving family. She met her future husband, Mario Saenz, while she worked as a car hop in McAllen, Texas. Together they raised two children with lots of love, patience and humility. Ramona dedicated herself to her family. She was a homemaker and raised her two children. She later took care of her 3 grandchildren and raised her second grandchild as her own. Her love had no boundaries, she then helped raise 2 of her great grandchildren with the same great love she gave to her children and grandchildren. Her family was her legacy. She will be dearly missed by her family. the family she gave endlessly and selflessly to every day. Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Guillermo and Elvia Cornoa; her husband Mario Saenz; her sister Josefina Medrano; her brothers Guillermo Corona and Marcelino Corona. Ramona is survived by her daughter, Leticia Rodriguez; her son, Marco Antonio Saenz; her grandchildren, Priscilla Picasso, Yvette Perez, and Melissa Saenz; her great grandchildren, Nyssa Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Julian Picasso, Oscar Rosales, Cristian Picasso, Nikolas Picasso, Eli Picasso, And Addison Meighan; her sisters, Maria Elena Gutierrez and Elvia Trevino; her brothers, Jesus Corona and Jaime Corona.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:30pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 1pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
