08/31/1979 - 02/02/2014       Raquel Elizabeth Hernandez, 34, was born on August 31, 1979 in San Miguel, El Salvador & passed away on February 2, 2014, where she was living & serving as a Teacher in Seoul, South Korea. She is preceded in death by her Sister, Karen Cecilia Hernandez. Survivors include her Parents, Juan Armando Reyes & Milagro Del Carmen Reyes & 2 Sisters, Diana Hernandez & Evelyn Hernandez. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Sergio Garza. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. & Service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 2624 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581.

Broken Chain

We little knew that morning

that God was going to call your name.

In Life we loved you dealy,

in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

your love is still our guide,

and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same.

But, as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.
