Raquel Lopez Segovia1941-2016
Raquel Lopez Segovia was born on June 18, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to her loving parents, Juan t. Lopez & Matilde T. Aguirre. Raquel was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2016 while being surrounded by her loving family.Raquel is survived by her ex-husband, Frank G. Segovia; her sons, Francisco L. Segovia & wife Nicole Waas, Mark L. Segovia & wife Michelle, and John Paul Segovia & wife Jennifer; her daughters, Rebecca Ann Roberts & husband Rick, and Veronica Lise Ceballos & husband Hiram; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rose & husband Adam, Michelle & husband Erick, Alexis, Mariel, Steven Ray, Danielle, Caleb, Daniel Joseph & wife Ashley, Renee Nichole & husband Mark, Pricilla Longoria & husband Gonzalo, Aaliyah, Jeremy Andrew, Andrew Liam, Jonathan Aaron, Lucero Mia, and Suzanna; and her great- grandchildren, Viviana, Lila, Avriana, Danica, Adan, Abel, and Lorenzo.Raquel spent most of her time as an active volunteer at her church, she loved helping out young couples with marriage counseling and she was known as “Dr. Love.” Raquel was also a Praise & Worship, Sunday school teacher and was devoted to helping her community.Raquel was a successful entrepreneur who gracefully retired from the UT Health Science Center after 28 years at the University. It is safe to say Raquel earned her many accolades through her years of hard work and dedication.Raquel will be greatly remembered for her love of singing and dancing, not to forget her avid enthusiasm for the tambourine. She also loved to play write and direct plays for her church.Raquel met many people throughout her life that she touched and she will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family that she leaves behind.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Primera Iglesia Asamblea (3402 Runnels St., Houston, Texas 77003). Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10am at the Primera Iglesia Asembela. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
