Raymond P. Garivey, Sr. 1938 - 2015

Raymond P. Garivey, Sr., 77, was born on October 5, 1938 in Cuero, Texas to Francisco Jr & Guadalupe Garivey; he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Raymond was a firm, strict, and the most loving father and grandfather; a hardworking family man; the snow cone man for all family outings. He retired from Houston Community College after 28 years of service. A great man with a great heart who will be dearly missed by all those who he loved. Raymond is survived by his wife of 22 years, Maria de Jesus Garivey; his sons, Joe Ray Garivey & partner Dale Chafin, Roy Garivey, Robert Garivey & wife Nannette, Raymond Garivey & wife Nancy, and Rene Garivey; his daughters, Ronnie Castellano & husband Joe and Julia Agoinaga; his brother, Gilbert P. Garivey, Sr.; his sisters, Angelita Coronado and Elida Gomez; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 6pm to 9pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Service will take place at 2pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
