Rebecca C. Cortez, 76, was born on September 16, 1942 in Combes, Texas and was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2018 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruben Contreras & Guadalupe Zepeda; and her brothers, Samuel Contreras and Francisco Contreras.  Rebecca is survived by her husband of 50 years, Inez V. Cortez; her son, Andre C. Cortez & wife Erica; her daughters, Leticia Cortez Mendez & husband Rudolph, Melisa Cortez, and Chriselda Cortez; her brothers, Ruben Contreras, Baltazar Contreras, and Moises Contreras; her sisters, Elisa McCrary, Rachel Garcia, and Carolina Rodriguez; and her grandchildren, Veronica Maria Guerrero, Inez P. Guerrero, and Louis Williams.  Rebecca will be dearly missed by all who shared wonder memories with her.
