Rogelio E. Gonzalez, Sr.

Rogelio E. Gonzalez, Sr., 85, was born on January 18, 1932 in Ciudad Guerrero, Tamaulipas, Mexico to his loving parents, Eduviges Gonzalez and Gregoria Escamilla and he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior the evening of May 14, 2017 in Houston, Texas while being surrounded by his wife and children. Rogelio was a hard working man who created a foundation of love, hard work, and dedication for his family; a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Rogelio always made sure his family came first. He was preceded in death by his brother, Humberto Gonzalez; his sister, Guadalupe Martinez; and his grandchildren, Noah Anthony and Faith Celeste. Rogelio leaves behind to cherish his memories his soul mate and loving wife of 59 years of marriage, Criselda Gonzalez; his sons, Rogelio Mario Gonzalez & wife Alicia, Jaime A. Gonzalez & wife Araceli, Javier Noe Gonzalez, Joel H. Gonzalez & wife Cecilia, Raciel Eloy Gonzalez & wife Matilde, and Roel R. Gonzalez & wife Bridgett; his daughters, Criselda E. Alvarado & husband Daniel, & Hilda M. Montemayor & husband Oscar; his siblings, Jose, Juana, Alicia, and Amelia; and his grandchildren, Jaime, Mario, Rogelio, Alejandra Maryali, Melissa, Lauren, Juliana, James, and Lucas. Rogelio will be dearly missed by all those who shared with him in life. Visitation will take place on Thrusday, May 18, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1pm at St Helen Catholic Church (2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581). Rite of Committal will follow in South Park Cemetery (1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX 77581). Rogelio E. González, Sr., 85, nació el 18 de enero de 1932 en Ciudad Guerrero, Tamaulipas, México de sus padres Eduviges González y Gregoria Escamilla y fue llamado a casa ante la presencia de nuestro Señor y Salvador la tarde del 14 de mayo del 2017 en Houston, Texas mientras se encontraba rodeado de su esposa e hijos. Rogelio siempre se aseguro que su familia fuese primero y les inculcó los mismos valores que eran su fundación: arduo trabajo, dedicación y amor. El era un amoroso esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano. Le preceden en vida su hermano, Humberto González; su hermana, Guadalupe Martínez y sus nietos, Noah Anthony y Faith Celeste. A Rogelio le sobreviven para atesorar sus memorias su alma gemela y esposa de 59 años de matrimonio, Criselda González; sus hijos, Rogelio Mario Gonzáles y esposa Alicia, Jaime A. González y esposa Araceli, Javier Noe González, Joel H. González y esposa Cecilia, Raciel Eloy González y esposa Matilde y Roel R. González y esposa Bridgett; sus hijas, Criselda E. Alvarado y esposo Daniel e Hilda M. Montemayor y esposo Oscar; sus hermanos y hermanas, Jose, Juana, Alicia y Amelia y sus nietos, Jaime, Mario, Rogelio, Alejandra Maryali, Melissa, Lauren, Juliana, James y Lucas. Rogelio será recordado con gran amor y cariño por todos aquellos quienes compartieron con él en vida.

La velación se llevará a cabo el jueves 18 de mayo del 2017 de 5pm a 9pm con una recitación de Rosario a las 7pm en la Capilla Principal de la Funeraria Compean. La Celebración de Santa Misa será el viernes 19 de mayo del 2017 a la 1pm en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Elena 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581). Posteriormente se le dará Santa Sepultura en el Cementerio South Park (1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX 77581).
