Ruben Matthew "Chew" Ruiz, 33, was born on July 22, 1984 in Houston, Texas and was called to be home with his Lord and Savior on November 26, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Ruiz and his paternal grandparents, Rosendo & Maria Ruiz Sr, his maternal great grandparents Antonio and Paula Hernandez Sr. Matthew leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving mother, Angela N. Ruiz; his children Presly Renee Ruiz, Julian Jacob Ruiz, and Ariana Allie Ruiz; his niece & goddaughter Brielle Nevaeh Ortega; his favorite brother Ryan Christian Ruiz, his favorite sister Brooke Danielle Ruiz, his brother in law Mark; his maternal grandparents, Arthur & Mary Nanez; Aunt Debbie and Uncle Gil, his uncle/"back up singer" Jerry DeVora; his cousins, Jennifer DeVora, Courtney Torres, and Angela "The Bear" Hernandez; his girlfriend, Melissa Puga; his brother/Best Friend, Abel Lubiano; also several other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Matthew was a loving father and a Mama's Boy, brother, grandson, Tio, nephew and friend. He graduated from Milby High School in 2002 and was gainfully employed by Center Point Energy. Matthew had a true understanding of life and had the most contagious smile. He always had a smile on his face and and a joke on his lips. He was a prankster. He enjoyed riding his Harley. He was a sharp dresser and well put together "Stunnin Like his Daddy". He loved playing basketball and enjoyed watching the Houston Rockets, but most of all he "Loved his Family". Matthew will be dearly missed, rest in peace,love you Matt.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm.

Vigil Service at 6pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.  Cremation will take place on a later day.
