Senior Police Officer Amado Huerta, Jr. , 44 September 16, 1968 - October 21, 2012 Officer Huerta joined the Houston Police Department on June 19, 1995 as a member of Academy Class164. When he graduated from the Academy he was assigned to Southwest Patrol until he transferred to Traffic Enforcement's Solo Detail in September of 2010. Visitation will begin at 3pm unitl 9pm Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in the Main Chapel at Compean Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 9:30am at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, Texas 77002 Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
