Sergio Ivan Rodriguez

Sergio Ivan Rodriguez, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 9, 2024, at the tender age of 15 in his hometown of Houston, Texas. Born on March 2, 2009, Sergio quickly became known for his infectious sense of humor and his ability to make those around him feel at ease.

A dedicated 10th-grade student at Charles H. Milby High School, Sergio had a passion for football and was admired for his skills as a player. He spent many hours on the field, pouring his heart into the game he loved. His enthusiasm also extended beyond sports; he cherished moments with family and friends, often bonding over shared interests such as movies, video games, and his favorite food—wings.

Sergio had a special bond with his family, particularly enjoying time with his cats, Chana and Rambo. His fondness for animals and the love he shared with his family made each moment special, creating lasting memories for all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Marco A. Ortuno; his mother, Cecilia N. Rodriguez; his brothers, Oscar A. Rodriguez and Marco A. Ortuno; his sisters, Gabriela J. Rodriguez and Karina Ventura; and his niece, Sara Rodriguez. Sergio's departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.

Visitation for Sergio Ivan Rodriguez will be held at Compean Funeral Home in Houston, Texas, on December 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM.

As we remember Sergio, we honor the light he brought into our lives, his contagious laughter, and the love he so readily shared. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
