Valentine Lopez Guzman, 73, was born on May 31, 1943 in Bay City, Texas to Luis and Josephine Guzman. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2016 in Houston, Texas; he will be dearly missed by all. Valentine proudly served the U.S. ARMY during the Vietnam ERA. He was preceded in death by his beloved Parents. Valentine is survived by his wife of 45 years, Stella Z. Guzman; his son, Valentine Guzman, Jr.; his daughters, Valentina Guzman, Kimberly Garza, Elizabeth Guzman, and Mary Anne Sanchez; his brothers, Luis Guzman, Jr. and Edward Guzman; 12 grandchildren, Michelle Acosta among them; and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (7539 Avenue K, Houston, TX 77012). Rite of Committal will follow in Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
